Chef de nouvelles, numériques/News Editor, Digital
Presse Canadienne/Canadian Press — March 2017 – Present

So far in my role as Digital News Editor for The Canadian Press' French bureau, I've successfully rebooted the news wire's digital offering, produced daily digital components and graphics as well as complete digital packages. I have coached reporters and editors on the various ways to improve storytelling and audience interaction with a digital approach. I've also managed the production of a tool to modernize La Presse canadienne's translation process and worked closely with third-party services to create analytics and metrics reports optimized for our services. My work in the newsroom is both editorial and innovative in practice. My role also demands that I maintain a close relationship with our subscribers to ensure La Presse canadienne's content is displayed properly on their platforms and delivers above and beyond their expectations.

Deputy executive producer, web
Montreal Gazette — Oct. 2014 – March 2017

My role in the newsroom is to develop, put in place and maintain audience engagement strategies whether it’s by developing series, producing content, optimizing articles or planning social media promotions. I assist in the daily news planning and development of stories. These tasks were added to my role as engagement editor.

Engagement editor
Montreal Gazette — Oct. 2013 – Oct. 2014

Develop and engage with audiences on various platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, and emerging networks. I succeeded in growing Montreal Gazette’s Facebook audience by 400 per cent, launch and host live Facebook videos, maintain a creative and engaged Instagram audience and show my colleagues the benefits of reaching people through networks.

Multimedia content producer
Spundge Inc. — Feb. 2013 – Oct. 2013

Created videos, produced use cases, researched and wrote blog posts. I also gave live platform demonstrations to prospective clients and trained journalists on Spundge in order to help them research their beats and maximize content output.
